The men of Gaithersburg-Rockville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. have joined forces with the Walter Reed Bethesda Fisher House and the Army Ten Miler.
The G-Rock Veterans and Families Support Program has been a labor of love in its support to groups and angencies in Montgomery County. Going on three years, G-Rock has established a yearly contribution of over 100 sundry bags to the residents of the Fisher House Walter Reed Bethesda. In the past we have worked with Serving Together of Rockville to provide support to military and their families. Strengthening or relationships with the Fisher House Foundation and other organizations in Montgomery County is our number one goal.
"The life of a soldier is hard and rewarding. My accomplishments in life are because of the Army and my success in the Army is because of my family. My Army family is my family, and I will do anything in my power to support them."
"If I could do it all over again, I would not change a thing. The ups and downs of military life have helped mold me into the husband, father, and leader that I am today. There will always be good days and bad days but as long as the good outweigh the bad, and I can continue to make a difference in sailor lives... I am in it for a long haul."
“The military has the tendency to uproot you from your family, friends and loved ones and move you to locations of the world that you would never imagine. Fortunate for me, Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Inc. was at every location making the adjustment easier. Serving my country has been an honor and privilege that I feel every American citizen should experience. The rank I wear is a badge of servitude… servitude to my Soldiers.”
