The Gaithersburg-Rockville Alumni Chapter welcomes the Kappa Leadership Development League, a program oriented toward helping young men to grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor, to Gaithersburg-Rockville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Kappa League, for short, provides both a challenging and rewarding experience, which richly enhances the lives of the young men in the program. Veterans & Families Support Program

Gaithersburg-Rockville (MD) Alumni - Veterans & Families Support Program

The men of Gaithersburg-Rockville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. have joined forces with the Walter Reed Bethesda Fisher House and the Army Ten Miler. The G-Rock Veterans and Families Support Program has been a labor of love in its support to groups and agencies in Montgomery County. Going on three years, G-Rock has established a yearly contribution of over 100 sundry bags to the residents of the Fisher House Walter Reed Bethesda. In the past, we have worked with Serving Together of Rockville to provide support to the military and their families. Strengthening our relationships with the Fisher House Foundation and other organizations in Montgomery County is our number one goal.

Fisher House

Fisher House provides military families housing close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease, or injury. Fisher Houses have up to 21 suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room, and an inviting living room.

Army Ten-Mile Race

For the past two years, G-Rock Brothers and Family members have volunteered at The Army’s Army Ten-Miler annual Army Ten-Mile Race. The race is conducted in our nation’s capital by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington (MDW). Attracting over 35,000 runners and 900 teams from around the world, the Army Ten-Miler (ATM) exemplifies the Spirit of Sport and the Spirit of a Nation. Participants include military, civilians, wheelchair athletes, and wounded warrior athletes. ATM’s mission is to support Army outreach, build morale, and promote physical fitness. Over 900 Soldiers and 900 volunteers support the Army’s “world-class” ATM race.
